When your FSM list gets big a few things becomes difficult:
1. Finding one of FSMs that is currently attached to selected object. For first FSM it no problem, but for next ones it could become a little bit tricky once you have a lot of instances of that object on scene SOLUTION#1: Make separated lists of FSMs "from selection" (default i think) and "from project/scene" 2. To scroll down to "Add FSM" option, that is always on the bottom of stack SOLUTION#1: Could be pretty simple, like digging it out from there for good and pin it somewhere else where its always on top Illustration time! :) What happens when you know you have to click that little fellow twenty times every time you want to make new FSM? Wow, that's a lot of FSMs!
I was considering this solution: Right now GameObject and FSM are combined in a single dropdown. Instead have 2 dropdowns: 1. Every game object in the scene that has an FSM, and an option to add an FSM to the selected game object. 2. Every FSM on the game object selected in dropdown 1, and an option to add another FSM to that game object. The Add options could be at the top of the list to avoid scrolling. BTW, you can also drag the PlaymakerFSM component onto game objects... |
